Dancing People

This experiment looks at static electricity.

1. Cut out some people from tissue-the thinner the better-I found it works best with the nose blowing kind of tissue and I separated out the 2 pieces.
2. Decorate your person and stick their feet to card.
3. Rub a plastic object thoroughly-I found a balloon worked the best but anything plastic should work.
4. Move it back/forwards/sideways around your people and make them dance.

The Science

This works because of static electricity. Rubbing a balloon or straw builds up negative charges (electrons). The light tissue paper people are attracted to the charges which makes them move towards them (dance).
